Position:

The Regional Sales Director is a hunter role, responsible for creating, building, and extending sales at enterprise-level accounts in the very competitive environment of email marketing solutions/software.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Targeting the largest B2C brands in your territory
  • Strategic account engagement through networking - the ability to engage in meaningful and material enterprise projects
  • Identify and quantify customer needs to build a strategic, integrated solution plan - and meet both the short-term and long-term requirements of the client's business
  • Meet or exceed quarterly and annual revenue targets
  • Develop a pipeline of viable opportunities that exceeds quota - keep abreast of every prospect in your territory
  • Accurately forecast deals closing on a monthly basis using Salesforce.com
  • Negotiate access to key decision makers and facilitate meetings (for yourself and for other company executives)
  • Develop cooperative closing strategy and tactics with sales management

Experience & Education Requirements:

  • Strongly preferred:
    Current or very recent experience in email or other digital marketing solutions
  • 5+ years of high-value software sales experience including SaaS
  • A demonstrated sales track record developing and managing regional accounts
  • Experience forecasting and closing transactions in the $250K - $1M+ range
  • Experience leveraging strategic relationships with external partners
  • A consultative, value-based approach to selling
  • Experience with online marketing sales is a plus
  • Previous experience working in a fast-paced, growing company environment is a plus
  • Excellent sales skills, lead development and qualification skills
  • Stable track record with 2+ years in each organization
